UPDATEl NOVEMBER 1ST, 2025 Testing out with CSS (REUPLOAD) + (UPDATED OFTEN)
This was going to happen eventually...!
I finally revamped my blog...it's got lots of kinks to work out, like the like button and font, and I am still editing it, like the background image, but I thought it is best to put this update out right now then add more and fix some stuff another time! I want to see it first.
For the longest time I was inspired by the game "The House in Fata Morgana" when I started my blog. At least, in some way, I always wanted to make a blog which had a similar feeling to that, where I'll have another blog focused on like looking at an old computer monitor.
I chose the font "libre baskerville" as it is one of the main fonts used in the game, plus I have always had an affinity for candles. That specific baskerville font has been my favorite for years... I wanted to go for a sort of nice, comfy low resolution sort of thing, so I got out my camera and lit a candle, recording some videos and then making them GIFs. The background I made too, but again, this is all a WIP! I just wanted to get it out there, and make it kind of feel like an older web page, that is simultaneously new.\
This is due for a lot of changes and fixes but this is the "theme" going forward!
I do know a bit of CSS myself, but am still new, so I wanted to mention I got most of the CSS for the toast button from!

- archive old posts, images? carbon footprint is a real thing on websites, and although this one isn't too bad, I have a lot of images on here...the gif, while only 2 mb, could be further compressed too, but gotta loook into it. I am in IT so I am weary of this stuff.....forgot to add on original post. so many gluttons for energy my goodness...you don't need to leave your computer plugged in all night as another example. : p it harms it in the end anyways.
- reorganize layout? I'm still using same layout in terms of the "ms dos" theme, which I like that theme because I love ms dos.. (I have a VM of it on my other computer) However I do have an idea on how I could reorganize it, but I think I much prefer the style I have. I may make some minor tweeks though.

Changelog: 10/4/2025:
- added banner to top of page, may change font, size, etc, fits it well though.
- considering removing that cute little pet...but it's so cute i like the snake, it still fits.
- Still debating on how to revamp about me page, probably less photos, more updated to how I am now, what I do, newer photos.
- designing custom cursor for website, probably black but it may not contrast well, designing something gothic.
- still using remnants of the ms dos bearblog theme, the organization is still perfect though for how I want it to be laid out, could make some minor tweaks however, to title card, maybe increase width of main box ever so slightly as well.
- When hovering, may add image in background, gif would take up too much for energy, AND/OR set image rendering to pixelated to save energy. Blog is designed to be super low traffic though so it thankfully is not as bad.
- Adding timestamps to blogs? Remnants of bear blog default blog have date posted and the title is in bold, may change this.
October 7th, added custom cursors to better fit the blog! The hand is fire and flames from the candles and incense...i edited it and had to draw the finger using pixel art by tracing over an already made cursor. The cursor itself you cannot see much but it has pillars, stained glass, and some lines coming from it which cannot be seen too well on purpose.

November 1st: Added colored text via hamster injections, added new header, which is a work in progress, removed haunted cosmic creator, it served its purpose hehe, added portfolio and updated about me section. (STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION) changed the blog link too!
