Hi everyone, my name is Victoria! I use any pronouns, but most people default to she/her for me as it's what I'm seen as. I'm an aspiring Cybersecurity Analyst with big dreams regarding my future. :) I've got loads of hobbies and am pursuing a host of various certifications, organizing cybersecurity events, and engaging with my community. I'm also working on founding a small little company/shop of my own to augment my skillset and never grow dull.
I'm working towards my B.A.S in cybersecurity, with my sights set on a masters/doctorates in either computer science or cybersecurity.
One may see those as a bit silly, but in IT specifically, a doctorates goes a long long way, even if it may seem unconventional, but it surprisingly isn't. Certs experience are still valued over anything else, but still.
I would only start those classes when it's free!
As for my hobbies, I adore so very many activities, but I will name some of my favorites...
I have a love for photography, specifically macro and street photography, placing an emphasis on photos where a certain feeling is evoked. That may sound vague but I also love to write, and my photos augment my writing along with my passion for videography, a more recent one. I'm like some art student hehe, I'm always learning. I love digital imaging and editing videos to supplement these other hobbies, and I adore horror/drama/thriller/mystery/uhm everything stories.
I tend to write my stories using mixed media and forming the pieces together like and ARG...! The nomenclature would be "ergodic" literature to be more precise. I also have a love for fashion, mainly gothic and classic lolita! I like to experiment with other styles, but I prefer to keep some things minimal. I am in the process of letting go of various objects I don't need, not just for peace of mind, but for being more minimal. This goes for some of my older pieces, but I am collecting new ones too!
Moving on, but I'm in information security, so of course I love that too! I love educating end users/clients/peers on privacy practices, how to stay safe online, and on general computer information. On an enterprise level, I prefer Blue Teaming, and am always focusing on training geared towards the defender side. I may seem to contradict myself advocating for privacy when I give so much away on this blog, but the point of being a defender is to defend others. I mention it a few time sin this blog BUT! I have some other reasons for being so open. Plus this blog is mostly private aside from random webpage search engines. I am locking it down some more and more hehe.
I love old tech too, as the vast majority of my job deals with it, how to work with it, and how to make something new. I get to keep various trinkets here and there which I keep for my personal use and to embolden my knowledge.
Hm...I'll write more eventually...when Boss ham ham feels like it!
